A LITTLE ABOUT US, HOW TO BOOK and information:
Welcome, here’s a little about us…
I, my husband and two teenage sons, together with our various four legged friends, moved to Cottage Farm in 1999. Our interests included horse riding, cycling, walking, sailing and the arts (painting and drama). Over the years our special location on the border of the New Forest and East Dorset, has been able to provide amply for all those interests and more. With so much to offer, we developed Forester’s Cottage, a detached holiday cottage in 2003, as self catering accommodation. Over the years we have met many lovely visitors from around the world and we hope to welcome you. We have kept our booking system as simple as possible, but if you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me… Jean.
Now to our on-line availability and booking system.
On the ‘Cottage’ page, scroll down to the calendar and select the dates that you wish to book.
Weekends Friday to Monday / Short breaks Monday to Friday / Weekly holidays changeover day is preferred on Friday. Please contact me if you require other arrival / departure days, I will do my best to accommodate you.
Once you select the dates a booking form will appear. Please complete the form and follow the instructions. Your booking request will be sent to me, (I’m Jean the owner on site) please allow time for me to receive the enquiry and confirm the availability and price, usually within 24 hours.
Once I have confirmed that your chosen dates are available, you can secure the reservation with your deposit payment (full payment will be required if your booking is within 8 weeks of arrival). Unlike many on-line cottage businesses, we do not charge any booking fees or vat.

DEPOSIT / FULL PAYMENT:
A firm reservation is subject to the receipt of £100 deposit. It is a commitment that you require the reserved dates, it covers the administration and removes your dates from all advertising availability sites. Your deposit is therefore, non-refundable and this system avoids any double booking.
If your booking is within eight weeks of your arrival, full payment will be required.

ON-LINE PAYMENT:
The on-line payment facility via our website is in conjunction with Bookalet. This allows you to select payment by credit or debit card or by bank transfer. On receipt of your payment, your reservation will be acknowledged and written confirmation will be sent to your email or home address. Key access, visitor information, local directions and parking info will be sent to you after the full booking payment has been made.

PETS:
Well behaved dogs are welcome at £8 per night each.
(Max. 2 medium size dogs) (Weekly: £56 per week each). We take pride in the presentation of Forester’s Cottage and ask that visitors with dogs respect the furnishings and facilities. Dogs are not to be left in the cottages alone, our location offers ‘dog friendly’ pubs, cafes and many beaches are open to dogs all year. We do not allow other dogs inside the cottages that belong to visitor’s friends and family.
Regret, we cannot accept cats and, cannot accept caged pets indoors.
Our own grazing land and stables maybe available for equines, please enquire directly.
NO SMOKING POLICY:
We ask guests to respect our policy of not smoking indoors. Guests may smoke in the cottage garden and are requested to bin discarded smoking materials cleanly and safely.
CANCELLATION:
If you need to cancel your booking, please contact me immediately, I will do my best to assist you. Attempts will be made to re-book your dates. Any refund within eight weeks of arrival is subject to the dates being successfully rebooked, less deposit and costs to achieve a booking. We advise visitors to have insurance. If circumstances dictate, we reserve the right to cancel your booking if necessary, in which case a full refund will be made. Please see our full: Terms & Conditions
