Garden, fenced and gated, has a lawn, borders with flowers, shrubs and trees. A furnished patio with a barbecue, a real sun trap, offering a lovely space for relaxing after a day exploring, and for alfresco dining long into a warm evening. Games Room within the cottage garden has table tennis and table football, solely for the use of our visitors at Forester’s Cottage.
Off road parking for two vehicles is immediately next to the cottage. The owners’s Electric Vehicle charger is on site for use by arrangement.
Our location has easy access to all parts of the New Forest National Park, Dorset heathland, beautiful countryside and a choice of beaches with a variety of coastal pursuits. Come and put a Spring in your step, we have miles of lovely walks, off-road cycling, forest adventure play and activities for all ages only a walk or cycle away at nearby Moors Valley Country Park.

A choice of beaches and water sports are at Southbourne, Bournemouth, Hengistbury Head, Mudeford and Avon Beach. The world famous Jurassic Coast can be explored from beaches at Lulworth, Durdle Door and Kimmeridge for fossil hunting and to see the giant sea monster at the Etches Museum.

Moors Valley Country Park is an easy walk or cycle from our location. Moors Valley has Adventure Play, Steam Railway, Go Ape, Segway, Tree Top Trails, off road walking and cycle routes in the surrounding forest for all abilities and various bicycles are for hire.
Visit The New Forest National Park where the forest roads are shared with roaming ponies, cattle and pigs. The villages have a choice of inns and restaurants offering delicious menus. Local produce can also be purchased to enjoy in your cottage holiday home. Around the forest you can easily visit: Beaulieu Motor Museum with vehicles from a bye-gone era. Nearby are Bucklers Hard and New Forest Activities on the Beaulieu River, offering canoeing, kayaking, archery and more. Paulton’s Park & Peppa Pig World is amazing fun for children not to be missed.
The nearby coastal beaches of Bournemouth, Boscombe, Southborne, Hengistbury Head and Mudeford are a short drive, offering golden sands, nature trails, crabbing, fishing, and various sea sports. For the ancient Dorset coastline visit the Jurassic Coast at Kimmeridge, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door with spectacular scenery and history.
